About Jack McConnell
Jack McConnell was from Mooresville Tennessee. At one time he was referred to as the “King of Millinery”. He designed hats for movie stars such as Joan Crawford and Lana Turner. It is said that a label with a red feather indicates the hat received the personal attention of Mr. McConnell. The Kathy Jeanne Hat Company of Fairfield New Jersey acquired the label in 2005, after Jack Mcconnell\'s death in 2005 and the label is now owned by Kathy Jeanne Inc.
