Vintage Cecile Original fur pillbox hats from the 1940s–1950s are authentic mid-century, American-made millinery typically crafted from genuine brown, honey blonde, or black mink fur. These hats are characterized by a structured, brimless, and cylindrical design with a flat top, designed to sit directly on the crown of the head. Styling & Era: These hats were frequently worn tilted to one side or set back on the head during the 1950s to add height, similar to the styles popularised by Jacqueline Kennedy in the early 1960s. They are ideal for retro, 1950s/1960s, or \"Old Hollywood\" looks. Material: Genuine fur, most commonly mink. Construction: Structured interior, often with a mesh crown and satin lining. Many feature built-in combs for secure placement on the hair. Size: Generally, these are considered \"one size\" (OS) or average adult size, often with a 7\"–8\" interior diameter. Excellent Vintage Condition! See photo no. nine for a close up of what appears to be thick thread. In person this blends in and is not noticeable unless you brush the fur in such a way to make it noticeable. The interior is immaculate. There does not appear to be any missing fur.
