Early-production heirloom piece from Helen Kaminski, dating back to the mid-1980s. Rare structured safari/fedora silhouette featuring a classic pinched crown, teardrop crease, and a comfortable interior fabric sweatband. Authentic piece features the original, stamped interior sweatband reading \"Made in Australia\" proving it was handcrafted during the brand\'s foundational years. First-generation collector piece produced before Helen Kaminski introduced the signature raffia seed pin. Artisanal Weave handcrafted using the brand’s iconic thick raffia plait-and-stitch method, giving it beautiful texture and durability.
Condition / Patina Note (Please Read): This hat is a true vintage piece and shows its history. There are a few surface stains on the top of the hat (see photos for close-ups). I tried to gently clean one but it bled yellow so I left the other spots alone as they are a natural color that is not overly noticeable.
