emerald-green-fedora-wool-felt 。What a beautiful hat in the style of a tam! The hat is a design by VINCENT DE KOVEN, and is made of bands of emerald green felt and grosgrain. There is a wide felt band that serves as an opening for the head. There is a bow at the front. The flexible top off the hat is made of bands of felt and grosgrain. Simply stunning! A tam, short for Tam O’ Shanter, is a soft, voluminous round hat, usually with a round seam that joins the flat crown to the sides. Tams often have a band around the bottom that gathers in the voluminous crown and secures the hat to the head of its wearer. Label; VINCENT DE KOVEN original Please keep in mind that you are buying a vintage hat, not new nor perfect! Photo #6 shows tiny speckles, which are barely noticeable. This is an authentic piece of fashion history! This hat is in wonderful vintage condition & has been lovingly preserved among over 1300 vintage hats we have collected for 40+ years.
