Thistlethwaite Americana | Optician Trade Sign。These vintage metal glasses are a wearable piece of New York City history, and feature period-relevant intricate engraved patterns, from the delicate bridge design to the ornate temple details. Better yet? They function like my modern 1.5x readers. The original retailer\'s case from John Hill\'s Eighth Avenue shop (at 47th Street) takes us back to the pre-1880s when Manhattan was still finding its grid, and locations were marked by street corners instead of numbers.
