Kai | Womens Wool Felt Outback Fedora Hat with Heart Designs 。This is a magnificent millinery creation from the fashionable 1950s\'! The hat is made of ivory furry felt. The crown is short and round, and is surrounded by a wide brim. Around the crown there is a most unique band made of 5 narrow bands...the top, middle and bottom bands are a red material, and the remaining bands are made of a gold metal. The end of the band is finished by a tassel made of gold metal, as shown in the photos. Per the fashion of the day, there are 2 \"stays\" at each side of the bottom of the hat to keep the hat in place on the head. This is an outstanding piece of history! Throughout the 1950s, ladies wore hats daily as a part of their attire as was a pair of gloves. To preserve its market, the millinery industry set about creating variety and extravagance. They were now touted as the essential accessory to complete the ensemble. Alternatively, ‘pancake’, ‘platter’, ‘mushroom’ or ‘cart wheel’ hats sat flat atop the head reviving turn of the century styles.
